The team, coached by Manager Gary Cearbaugh and coaches
Travis Jenkins and Keith Richardson went undefeated and outscored their
opponents 50-18 in 5 bracket play games and won the championship 7-2.
The team’s efforts resulted in finishing out the season ranked
second in the state of Georgia and 12th in the nation
overall.
The members of the team are: Joe Cearbaugh,
Cameron Chambers, Alex Dwyer, Brian Floyd, Brooks Hardy, Austin Jenkins,
Grant Krug, Billy Magill, Liam Malone, Austin O’Farrell, Andrew
Richardson, Jakob Robinson and Adam Weisheit. Weisheit snared the
Outstanding Offensive Player award while Austin Jenkins took home the MVP
award for the series.
The Hurricanes beat out 16 other
teams in the annual tournament, which included teams from North Carolina,
Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas and
Mississippi.

The 17u
Strikers were Runners Up in the BCS National Championships at the Red Sox
Spring Training Facility in Ft. Myers, Florida on July 22, 2007.
Congratulations Strikers!
The
Dugout Club Strikers 18U team went to East Cobb along with 16 other teams
and won the Triple Crown Championship on September 10. The team went
undefeated, 6-0, and brought home the hardware! By winning, they qualified
for the Fall National Showcase in St. Augustine, Florida.
The
14U Dugout Club Strikers qualified for the USSSA World Series by finishing
as the runner-up in the recent Ghost of Hidden Valley World Series
qualifier. Way to go guys!
